Round Review

Mikko 4th in Pro as engine denies Patrick a deserved top-5 result

In the World Championship, a heartbreaking engine failure with 4 laps to go left Patrick De Wit without well deserved points, after making great use of his top speed to overtake several competitors. It was a fantastic drive from Patrick, who silenced his critics with a spirited race to 5th place, and was challenging for 4th when his engine let go.
Marcel van der Linden had problems at the grid and was unable to start the race.

In the Ace division, Norbert Leitner recovered from the back after being hit at the start of the feature race to finish in 10th place. He almost had that 8th place that would have allowed him to start the sprint race from pole again, but he ran out of tyres on the final lap. Giuseppe Marconi was 16th, while Thomas Mundy retired.
In the sprint race, Thomas Mundy drove a great race to finish 7th after starting 23rd, while Giuseppe Marconi ended in 9th place. Norbert Leitner was a victim of the start incidents and had to retire on the opening lap.

In the Pro division, Mikko Suokas delivered a very strong podium-challenging race to finish in 4th place, including a final lap pass on Falcon! Guglielmo Matti again suffered technical issues but still brought the car home in 10th place. The strong result moved FTS up to 3rd place in the team standings!
